Jeff Warren, Horn

Band Director, Cradock Middle School

Jeff Warren is a native of Virginia Beach, Virginia and a graduate of Kellam High School. Mr. Warren holds a bachelor degree in music education from Virginia Commonwealth University. Mr. Warren has been a Portsmouth Public Schools music educator since 2005 where he is currently the band instructor at Cradock Middle School in Portsmouth, Virginia.
Prior to his career in music education, Mr. Warren was a member of the Charlotte Symphony from 1996-1999. He has also performed with the Virginia Symphony, Richmond Symphony, Williamsburg Sinfonia and the North Carolina Symphony. Mr. Warren is an active professional in the Hampton Roads area.
During his performance career, Mr. Warren has performed with many artists across many different styles of music. Some of those include: Johnny Cash, Ray Charles, Tony Bennet, Marvin Hamlisch, Herbie Hancock, the rock band "YES," Blood, Sweat & Tears, Bruce Hornsby, Bernadette Peters, Patti Austin, The Irish Tenors, Clark Terry, David Sanborn, Al Jarreau, Preservation Hall Jazz Band and the "Four Tops."
Mr. Warren was a student of the late Kendall Betts, principal horn of the Minnesota Orchestra and was a staff member for Mr. Betts at the Summer Institute “Kendall Betts Horn Camp” from 1997-2005. He also performed with Mr. Betts with the North Country Chamber Players in New Hampshire.
Mr. Warren resides in Virginia Beach with my wife Michelle, two sons Zackary and William and our two dogs - a Beagle named Baxter and a French Bulldog named Ollie.
