She maintains a private flute studio, teaches sectionals in schools in the Hampton Roads community and is Woodwind/Visual Instructor at Princess Anne High School.

During her lifetime of playing, she has found a love of the piccolo, alto flute and bass flute. Recently she has added contrabass flute to her repertoire of played instruments. She loves playing new repertoire of the instruments and exploring their abilities in extended techniques. Composing and arranging for these instruments has become a natural outlet with her curiosity and love of these instruments.

She received her Master in Flute Performance from Louisville University. Further education comes from Indiana University and the University of Illinois. She is grateful to her former teachers which include Margaret Jamner, Kathy Carr, and Donald Gotlieb.
